TRAIL RIDES

Come join us on an adventure into the Selway-Bitterroot wilderness! We offer horseback trail rides in the summer months out of our wilderness base camp lodge. The lodge sits a mile off the historic Lochsa River, which runs right through the heart of the Selway-Bitterroot wilderness area. This is a very wild and scenic area and most of which has gone untouched by humans. The only way into the wilderness is by horseback along one of our picturesque trails; some of them winding along rushing streams and some along ridges with unparalleled views!

Along the way stay for a while at the popular Stanley Hot Springs! This is about a 2 hour ride in from the main camp and is a great place to take a hot soak after some riding. You can check out more on this at www.idahohotsprings.com/destinations/stanley/index.htm.

We have experienced sure-footed horses that know their way around these mountain trails so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. Not only will they quickly gain your trust but will also become your friend by the end of the day!

We can tailor the trip to your needs and we are very flexible on our trail ride options. You can choose to ride for just a single day (about 7 hours round-trip) or you can do a pack-in trip and make it a multiple day trip! We have a few different pack-in tent camps set up that we can stop at for lunch, or stay the night at if you choose to do an overnight trip. Your trail ride will include lunch

For those who are really looking for the wilderness experience we offer multiple day trips into our more remote wilderness tent camp at either Pass Creek Camp, Horse Camp, or Fish Lake Camp. These gorgeous rides take you up into the main Boulder Creek drainage and the camps range from about 3 to 7 hour rides from the lodge. In the summer some pretty good trout fishing can be done from any of these camps!

We can tailor the trip to your needs and we are very flexible on our trail ride options.  You can choose to ride for just a single day (about 7 hours round-trip) or you can do a pack-in trip and make it a multiple day trip!  We have a few different pack-in tent camps set up that we can stop at for lunch, or stay the night at if you choose to do an overnight trip.  Your trail ride will include lunch for the day trips and will include all meals while on the pack-in trips.  On multiple day trips we will provide all necessary items at camp, all you’ll need to bring is a sleeping bag and personal items.

ADULTS – $225/DAY
YOUTH ( 17 AND UNDER) – $175/DAY
